Introducing St Joseph’s Pool

We run lessons at pools in South West London. We are lucky enough to have been working with them for years now so we are well acquainted with them.

Each has its own character. And these stretches of water have been the beginning of many swimming careers.

St Joseph’s College has a wonderful swimming pool in the heart of Streatham,  and local to Crystal Palace, Norwood and Herne Hill, with very convenient travel links. We are fortunate to have access to it as it is a great length and depth for both learning to swim, improving swimming skills and for our exciting annual gala events!

This pool is perfect for both our children and adult swimming lessons. Compared to busy public pools, learning to swim in this Streatham swimming pool really helps our pupils’ concentration and to build their confidence

Coming by tube / train

The nearest trains station are either Streatham or West Norwood.

Coming by bus

The following buses serve the area, with the stops shown on the map.

Coming by car

The entrance for drop off and collection will only be through the rear gate to the school which is in Rycroft Road. Please note that there will be students, staff and contractors using the main school entrance and playground.

In order to keep your child and others safe do not drive into the school grounds.

Some suggestions for after your lesson

We encourage our pupils and parents to spend time with each other outside of lessons. There are a number of cafes and parks in the vicinity of all of our pools. So why not suggest to anyone else at the lesson to grab a coffee or visit the local playground.

We are looking to build partnerships with local businesses to help benefit the school. Please do contact the office with any recommendations of places to go after class or services that might be useful to school members.
