Introducing Athelney Swimming Pool
Our Athelney Primary school pool is a lovely warm pool, local to Beckenham Sydenham, Billingham and Penge. It is also not too far from Crystal Palace. It is a great size for toddlers, pre-school and primary aged children to learn early swimming skills, have fun and build their water confidence. Compared to busy public pools, it really helps the child’s concentration and to feel safe with their swimming teacher.
Our swimming teachers
We have a rota of dedicated swimming teachers at our Athelney swimming pool who are all are either Swim England or Swimming Teachers Association Level 2 qualified or above (or hold equivalent certification). They all hold relevant first aid certification and all have up to date DBS certificates – to ensure the safety of your children.

As prior lessons are likely to be ongoing please aim to arrive at your lesson NO MORE THAN 15 minutes early, allowing you enough time to be changed and ready to begin at your start time.
Please follow the Cindy’s Swim School signage to find the pool. Please make sure to remove your shoes before entering the pool area. We have shoe covers available for use.
The entrance is NOT located at the main entrance of the school. Please see video below which shows the Fir Hill Road entrance. Please ensure you have the gate codes to gain access.
