What our customers say…
Introducing Ernest Bevin Pool
Cindy’s Swim School runs lessons at pools in South West London. During the school holidays we are delighted to introduce the Ernest Bevin Pool, where we now hold week-long crash courses to support your child’s swimming journey!
Ernest Bevin Pool is located with Ernest Bevin Academy located a 10 minute walk from Tooting Bec underground station. It’s a 25 metre pool which has both male and female changing facilities.
The proximity to the tube station and the size of the pool make it the perfect location for our holiday crash courses.
We ask that only one parent/carer accompany the swimmer to lessons due to limited seating.
Our swimming teachers
At this swimming pool, for our school holiday crash courses, we have a selection of dedicated swimming teachers who are all are either Swim England or Swimming Teachers Association Level 2 qualified or above (or hold equivalent certification). They all hold relevant first aid certification and all have up to date DBS certificates – to ensure the safety of your children.
You can find out a little bit more about our swimming teachers on our our Coaches pages.

What to bring
Please note the kit you need to bring to your class depends on what pool you are swimming at and what class-level you are swimming at.
All pupils will need to bring:
Swimming costumes and towel
It can be useful for changing if this is a poncho style towel although not necessary. See our towels for small children here.
Goggles
These can be purchased from us online in advance of your lesson. Please do call us, if you’re unsure about sizing. See our recommended goggles in our CSS shop.
Label everything
Just like going to school, you may want to label your pupil’s belongings so that you can easily identify them.
Everything else is provided
We will provide swimming caps, floats, noodles etc.
Note: if your child is joining a Squad crash course, please bring flippers and pull buoys.
Getting to your class
Ernest Bevin Academy, Beechcroft Road, Tooting, SW17 7DF

Please follow the Cindy’s Swim School signage to find the pool. Please make sure to remove
your shoes before entering the pool area. We have shoe covers available for use.

Some suggestions for after your lesson
We encourage our pupils and parents to spend time with each other outside of lessons. There are a number of cafes and parks in the vicinity of this swimming pool both in the direction of Tooting Bec or Tooting Broadway. So why not suggest to anyone else at the lesson to grab a coffee or visit the local playground.
We are looking to build partnerships with local businesses to help benefit the school. Please do contact the office with any recommendations of places to go after class or services that might be useful to school members.
