What our customers say…

I’m moving closer to my goal

“Cannot praise Una enough for being such a wonderful, kind, professional and encouraging teacher! She makes every lesson a real achievement by progressing swimming ability and style. I have a long way to go but feel I’m moving closer to my goal with an excellent coach 👏🏽 …” – Jasmin Kamal

The coaches are absolutely brilliant

“I’ve had excellent lessons so far and the swimming coaches are absolutely brilliant. I’d like to give a shout out to Noah who is not only patient and understanding, but also pushed me to continue to get better and more comfortable in water. At the end of the lesson I feel like I’ve gotten better by a mile! Thanks, Noah!” – Aashna Sharma

I would highly recommend

“I have had an excellent experience in the past months being part of CSS 🙂 The team at St Joseph School are friendly, welcoming and extremely kind. I would highly recommend to join the club if you want to learn or improve your swimming skills as an adult and have some fun every week!” – Carlotta Puertes Boix

Adult beginner lessons

Did you know one in five adults in the UK can’t swim?  Well it is never too late to learn (our oldest pupil so far was 87 years old).  Our friendly and welcoming classes are designed for all abilities, providing a supportive and encouraging environment for you to enjoy your time swimming with us.

What we teach

The classes are tailored to ensure adults can progress at their own pace.  We start out by working on the basics and developing your core muscles as well as confidence in the water. Then the classes move onto perfecting your strokes, without adding too much distance to your training, so you can focus on your technique without getting tired by the length of the pool. Classes cover:

  •    Floating and treading water
  •    Basic stroke technique
  •    Building the confidence to submerge yourself under the surface

We give extra care to people that have had unfortunate experiences with water, so please do tell us if you have had negative experience or a particular concern.
