A bit about me

As someone who has had a love for swimming from a young age, it is great passing on this skill to others and seeing them benefit from it. I have been a lifeguard since I was 16 so I understand the importance of learning water safety skills in order to have fun in the water and find your passion whether it be competitions, water polo, diving or anything else!

Inspiration

It's such a great achievement to see how the students improve at swimming and to see their confidence grow in the water.

A bit about me

Hi, my name is Suzanna and I am a qualified level 2 teacher and coach. I have been teaching and coaching swimming for over 25 years and have taught all abilities from babies through to competitive level. I hold a J2 judge qualification which enables me to officiate at competitive swimming galas. Although my forte lies with the more advanced swimmers, nothing gives me more pleasure than watching a swimmer perform their first unaided swim.

I joined Cindy’s 2 year ago and was overwhelmed by how welcoming, inclusive and supportive they were. It is a pleasure to be part of their amazing team.

A bit about me

I grew up in a family where swimming was part of who we are, having my dad been a professional swimmer in his youth, then a coach, and with other relatives taking the path of competitive swimming, like I did too. I had a lot of fun as a learner and remember how it was for me, so I try to bring a bit of that in the water when teaching. Of course water safety and learning the right skills to progress to any level desired are super important. Ultimately these things combined have the potential to make swimming a life long passion for the children, this is certainly my aim.

Inspiration

Everyday is different when teaching, on occasions can be challenging, but helping every swimmer become more confident and witness their progress in the water makes it always worth it.
