A bit about me<\/h4>\n

As someone who has had a love for swimming from a young age, it is great passing on this skill to others and seeing them benefit from it. I have been a lifeguard since I was 16 so I understand the importance of learning water safety skills in order to have fun in the water and find your passion whether it be competitions, water polo, diving or anything else!<\/p>\n

Having grown up as a competitive swimmer I have developed a passion for the sport and lots of knowledge which I love to share in my lessons. Swimming has given me countless amazing opportunities, allowed me to meet so many people and try waterpolo which I competed in at university. <\/p>\n

I\u2019ve always loved being in the water, whether it\u2019s swimming or spending time at the beach. The ocean is where I feel the happiest and most at peace. I\u2019m super comfortable in the water and enjoy being in environments that involve it. For me, there\u2019s nothing better than a day by the beach, soaking up and enjoying the ocean.<\/p>\n

Inspiration<\/h4>\n

Becoming a swimming teacher just made sense because I enjoy helping others feel comfortable and confident in the water. It\u2019s such a rewarding job – seeing someone go from nervous to excited about swimming is the best feeling. Having grown up in South Africa and Australia I was always in the water. It\u2019s where I\u2019m most at home. I now have 2 kids of my own and want to pass on my love of the water to them.<\/p>\n

I started swimming at the age of 3 and I still recall the love for the smell of chlorine on my first day. Since then I love the contact with water.<\/p>\n

I love to teach mostly beginners: helping them to defeat fears and struggles. When finally someone can achieve something, I enjoy of their happiness. For me swimming
is freedom, an experience that allows people to feel the own body and trust in their own capacities. Swimming is a fundamental part of the growth of an individual.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been a swimmer for as long as I can remember, and I\u2019ve always felt at home in the water. Teaching swimming has been a natural extension of that passion. A bit about me<\/h4>\n

My parents made sure I knew how to swim from a young age, a way to connect with my body and develop healthy habits. I loved swimming and was always in the pool. My dad could never swim and always tried to join when he could – one day I had to save him as he got a little out of his depths, reflecting the value of swimming as not just a leisure or competitive activity, but something that allows you to survive.<\/p>\n

Inspiration<\/h4>\n

Teaching my daughter how to swim and seeing the confidence she gained, not only in swimming but in her ability to navigate different aspects of challenges, I found pleasure in nurturing a talent. I personally enjoy watching my students flourish with both skills and confidence in the water. Gaining experience over the past 9yrs of teaching both adults and children my passion has never dwindled. I\u2019m constantly learning and adapting my skills to both connect with my passion and ensure I can produce the best possible swimmers of the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
