Well, a lot actually!<\/p>\n Firstly, baby swimming lessons are a fantastic way to teach your baby to gradually become more independent in the water. We make sure that being in the water is a pleasant experience from day one.<\/p>\n Secondly, we teach water safety \u2014 yes even to babies! The fundamentals of our lessons help babies learn to reach and grab in the water \u2014 this might be you, the side of the pool or a float. They also get used to splashing, going underwater, holding their breath, jumping in and floating themselves.\u00a0<\/p>\n In the lessons babies develop their gross and minor motor skills, and they build strength in their muscles to aid with head position, sitting, crawling and much, much more!<\/p>\n At our Wandsworth pool we often play music in the background and sing songs. This helps make the lessons more fun, but it’s also a great way to give structure and repetition to classes. Babies quickly associate swimming games and songs. Rhymes and repeated instructions are also a great way to help with babies speech development and listening!<\/p>\n And let’s not forget you, our parents, grandparents and carers!
